I had this piece in my home as one of my personal collection, but after moving and substantially downsizing, I decided to offer it for sale. This is the last in a series of just three and the only piece with a resin finish and hand made floating frame. 

Contemplating Growth is a meditation on potential. The boy discovers new powers and growth as represented by the surreal imagery of the fern leaves sprouting from his finger tips. He sits on a dead tree stump, calling forth new life as his bare feet are rooted to the ground. He is in a state of wonder and discovery, nmot quite sure what it all means, but staying present and open to learning about himself and his place in the world.
