About FIERCE ON STILTS:
This image is the companion to my FIERCE - girl. Inspired by my son and my own sense of ferocity, FIERCE is a great reminder that we can always roar with power, even when we might need to fake it a bit. In this image, the challenge is great, but the boy roars at the bear with ferocity and resolution, even fabricating stilts so as to meet the bear eye to eye; making it clear that he is in charge and will prevail even though the odds may be against him. The drawing for this saw several versions, as most of my desings do. 50 plus hours later, FIERCE is born!
