I'm so excited to present a design about a phenomenon that is close to my heart and one that has intrigued me ever since I can remember. Camera Obscura means "dark chamber" in Latin. The concept is the basis for photography, telescopy, Renaissance era drawing aids, and even how our eyes work. Basically, light comes in to a dark room or box through a small hole and projects an inverted image on the rear wall of the room or box. This happens with our eyes as well, but our brains flip the inverted image projected on the retina. Amazing. Once it was discovered that silver nitrate could be used to make a recorded image in the camera obscura, photography was born! Great shirt for all of the photo nerds, art nerds, and camera enthusiasts out there.
